After nearly a decade of waiting, McDonald’s has rereleased the Snack Wraps to the world. Following the Snack Wrap’s discontinuation back in 2016, it had been teasing the potential of the Snack Wrap’s return. After months of waiting, the Snack Wrap released on July 10th.
The new Snack Wraps have both a Ranch and Spicy version priced at $2.99 each. It features the classic McCrispy Strip with cheese and shredded lettuce wrapped all together in either Ranch or Spicy Pepper Sauce, all folded up in a sweet tortilla available nationwide.
In December 2023, McDonald’s reported that it would return in 2025 as a “McCrispy Snack Wrap” as part of their McCrispy products. In April 2025, it began hinting at the reintroduction of the Snack Wrap, and finally revealed the final release date in June.
A Spicy Snack Wrap contains 380 calories along with 17 grams of protein and about 21 grams of fat, whereas a Ranch Snack Wrap has 390 calories, the same amount of protein, and 22 grams of fat.
Many people have prayed for the Snack Wrap to make another appearance after the discontinuation. Later, the item returned into the public eye, and there have been many positive reviews lately. One user on X stated: “Snack wrap is 10/10, and I’m so, so happy my [favorite] fast food meal is back”.
Many individuals were very disappointed when it vanished back in 2016, so it’s charming to hear that many relished the taste of the item once more. Another user on X said: “The McDonald’s snack wrap is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. “
However, several were disappointed primarily at the limitation of the Snack Wrap only having either a Spicy or Ranch Option. In early 2007, there was the option for grilled chicken, honey mustard, salsa roja, and sometimes even Chipotle BBQ. One user pointed out: “How could @McDonalds bring back the snack wrap with having the option for BBQ or honey mustard?!” It appears that the limitations for options have angered a couple of it’s customers.
Other people argue that the McCrispy Strips inside the tortilla as disgusting compared to the original. One Reddit user explained: “Just tried them, they are so bad. The new chicken strips they’re using are straight rubber, and they reduced almost all the ingredients.”
So far, it’s clear that the return for the Snack Wrap at McDonald’s has many positive reviews, but still varies. Many have been waiting for the sweet taste for so long and cherish its taste, while others may not like the limitations of flavor. Whether this version lives up to it’s predecessor may depend on how much you loved the original but one thing is certain: the Snack Wrap is finally back.
