As a full disclosure, I am a huge Taco Bell fan. I always have been, and usually love everything on the menu. For my first reviews, I am looking at items from the new Dollar Cravings Menu from Taco Bell.
The first item is the Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito.
The major texture difference between the Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, and the regular taco Bean Burrito is the rice. The rice brings is a really nice texture that gives variety from the smoothness of the beans and cheese.
The cheese sauce has a little spice to hit that brings a little heat and a “kick”. You could get the same taste out of a sauce packet if you want more heat, but I think it is great just on its own. The beans also bring a nice smooth texture.
Hunger Filling Grade: A – Like most other burritos, there is enough here to satisfy your hunger with just one of these (although for the price, you might grab a few more and skip dinner).
Value Grade: A – For a dollar, this is a fantastic value. Although it would be nice for a few more ingredients, I can’t complain, especially since most Taco Bells have raised the price of the regular bean burrito to around $1.29.
I definitely would order this again. It actually has become a new staple in my Taco Bell eating experience.
